PRESERVATION OF HISTORICAL SHIPS IN
THE MUSEUM OF THE WORLDOCEAN

The historical fleet embankment of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad-Saint-Petersburg is represented by the five large ships which reflect almost all the directions of the World ocean exploration; it is the only in Russia and it is unique for maritime museum practice.
The article is about preservation experience of ships, particularly, about the following aspects: matter of ownership, judicial assignment, moorage place (land and water area) and the most important — preservation of ships and their repairs and restoration.
